I was born in Augusta, Kentucky, afterwhich, my family returned to the Owensboro, Kentucky area where we originated. I married a serviceman in 1978 and we traveled to Guam, New Mexico, England, California and Idaho. After we divorced, I married another AF serviceman, the love of my life, and we have spent our entire marriage in California, first in Sacramento and finally finding our hearts' home in Grizzly Flats, California; a small mountain community East of Placerville.

Amenities are a minimum of 20 minutes away and our nearest town is 40 minutes away. We fell in love with the community and the wonderful people in it and are very excited to be involved with the closeknit group of people who live here.

I have been blessed beyond my wildest dreams and a great deal of who I am inside is based on celebrating all that this world and God provides to us.

I have 6 children. Three sons are grown and my daughter and two other sons are still at home. Delena is 15 and the little boys are 10 and 8.

I am a stay at home mom and work as a medical transcriptionist in my home. I am also a professional web designer.

One of the joyful things I do in my life is that I own and operate Grizzly Flats Online, our community web page. It is a very fun part of my life.

I am also the Chairperson for GFORCE (the Grizzly Flats Organization to Reunite Community and Education). Our purpose is to raise funds for school and community purposes and to produce fun events for the people of Grizzly Flats throughout the year.

The user name of this journal "HRH Katrina" refers to Her Royal Highness Katrina. Six of my friends and I have proclaimed ourselves "The Queens of Grizzly Flats" and I am the Boss Queen of our chapter. We descend upon the parades that GFORCE hosts in all of our Queenly finery and let the other Grizzly Flats folks look at us and feel blessed to know us and all. It's just what we do.
